Potato Dextrose Broth is used for the cultivation of fungi in a laboratory setting.It is recommended for the isolation and enumeration of yeasts and moulds.
Potato Dextrose Broth is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
Potato Dextrose Broth is a general purpose broth for yeasts and molds. The low pH of this medium inhibits bacterial growth.

Preparation:
Dissolve 24 g of the medium in one liter of purified water, Mix thoroughly&Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
