Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA) is a synthetic auxin, a plant growth regulator used in agriculture to promote and accelerate root formation in plant cuttings for propagation, increase yields and fruit/flower development in crops, and reduce transplant shock in nursery plants. As a rooting hormone, it stimulates the development of adventitious roots, leading to stronger root systems and improved plant establishment.
